Handing someone your Instagram handle usually goes like this: you spell it out, they type it in wrong, and you never hear from them again. An NFC social media card replaces that awkward moment with a tap. This guide explains how these cards work, which platforms they suit, how to choose what the card should open, and a few safety points worth knowing.
What is an NFC social media card?
It is a PVC card, in standard card size (85.6 × 54 mm), with an NFC chip inside and a QR code on the back. The chip stores one web link. When someone holds their phone against the card, the phone opens that link: your Instagram profile, your TikTok page, a WhatsApp chat, your YouTube channel, or whatever you chose. The QR code opens the same link for phones without NFC.
The card is not an app and it does not post for you. It is a physical shortcut to a page that already exists.
How it works
- Pick the platform card you want.
- Send us your link on WhatsApp +92 335 6656657 after you order.
- We programme your link onto the chip and test it before dispatch.
- Whoever you give the card to taps their phone on it, or scans the QR code, and your page opens.
It works with iPhone XS and newer and NFC-enabled Android phones. Nobody needs to install anything to read the card. If the platform’s app is installed on the phone, the link will normally open in the app. Otherwise it opens in the browser.

Choosing the right link
A card opens one link, so the link decides how useful the card is.
- One main goal? Use one platform card. If you sell mostly on Instagram, link to Instagram.
- Several profiles? Use a link-in-bio page that lists them, and put that link on a Linktree or all-in-one card. These cards open the link you supply. They do not create a Linktree account or page for you.
- Want to be contacted? A WhatsApp link lets customers message you directly.
- A public profile only. The link should show something you are happy for anyone to see.
The link is programmed when the card is made. If you might change your username or page address soon, wait until you are settled, or ask us first.
Who uses them?
- Creators and streamers hand a card to fans at meet-ups and events.
- Shops and small brands keep cards at the till so customers can follow or message them.
- Musicians link to a Spotify or SoundCloud page.
- Community owners use Discord, Telegram or Reddit cards at events and campuses.
- Freelancers and professionals use LinkedIn or Behance for portfolios. For a full digital business card, see our NFC visiting cards.
Staying safe
- Link only to public pages. Never program a link that contains a password, private key or recovery phrase. We will never ask for one.
- Be careful with payment links. The Binance card opens a link you supply, such as a Binance Pay link. Share only what you are comfortable sharing, and never send anyone your wallet keys or recovery phrases.
- Remember the card is public. Anyone who taps it sees the link.

Social cards, review cards and business cards: how they differ
A social card opens a profile. A review card opens a review page for a business. A business card, such as our PVC, metal and wooden digital business cards, opens a digital profile with your contact details. If you meet clients, a business card usually fits better. If you want followers or chats, a social card does.
